Shivpuri, Mar 30: Fire broke out at a petrol pump here this morning when a customer switched on his cellular phone. The blaze was immediately controlled with fire brigade personnel and the petrol pump staff joining in, police said. The blaze caused panic with traders in adjoining area.

Bhopal, Mar 30: Union Human Resource Development Minister Arjun Singh did not rule out possibility of AICC General Secretary Rahul Gandhi as a prime Ministerial candidate in next round of general elections. While replying to a query, he said, "Why not. He is young. This is the age of youth. More than 60 per cent of country's population consists of youth."

Bhopal, Mar 30: Distinguished educational institutes should launch a syllabus that would foster new abilities in students, said Union Human Resource Development Minister Arjun Singh, while addressing a convocation program of the Indian Institute of Forest Management here on Sunday. He added that the quality of education should be ensured or else work done for people residing in remote areas would go in vain.

 

BHEL felicitates patents and copyrights

Bhopal, Mar 30: RK Singh, Executive Director, BHEL, Bhopal felicitated the Inventors of Patents and authors of copyrights by presenting them a token Incentive in a simple programme held the other day. While addressing the audience during the felicitation ceremony of 18 inventors and authors, he highlighted the importance of intellectual property and urged upon the executives to come forward and register the novel work as patent or copyright.

 

Jet Airways flight for Hyderabad

Bhopal, Mar 30: Jet Airways Maiden flight from Ahmedabad to Hyderabad took off with 39 passengers onboard from Raja Bhoj airport Bhopal on Sunday. The 9W3417 flight, which took off from Amhedabad airport at 6.30 am, arrived at Bhopal airport on scheduled time of 9.05 am. The flight will take off from Bhopal at 9.35 am and 6.45 pm everyday.

 

World-class institutions needed in country

Bhopal, mar 30: Visionary leaders and global mindset are the two most indispensable things needed for establishing the world-class institutions in the country, said Professor PB Sharma Vice Chancellor Rajiv Gandhi Technical University. He added that firm determination and inclusive government support is all needed for setting up the education institutions matching with global standards. He was elaborating the requirements for the establishing world-class institutes as announced by the HRD Ministry recently.
